|| Kausalyasuprajarama! purva sandhya pravartate, uttistha! narasardula! kartavyam daivam ahnikam ||

O Rama, Kausalaya’s auspicious child! Twilight is appearing in the East. O best of men (i.e., Purushottama!) Wake up, the divine daily-rituals have to be performed.

|| Uttisthottistha! govinda! uttistha garudadhvaja! uttistha kamalakanta! trailokyam mangalam kuru ||

O Govinda, wake up! O Garudadhvaja (i.e. one who has Garuda on the banner) ! Wake up. O Kamalakanta (i.e., the husband of Kamala)! (rising) render the three worlds auspicious.

|| Matas samsastajagatam madhukaitabhareh vaksoviharini! manohara-divyamurte! srisvanmini! sritajanapriya-danasile! sri-venkatesa-dayite! Tava suprabhatam ||

May it be an auspicious dawn (morning) to Thee, O Lakshmi, the Mother of the Worlds, the ever dweller on the chest of Vishnu (i.e., the enemy of the demons, madhu and Kaitabha), of attractive and divine form, the Mistress and of the nature of granting the desired objects of those seeking refuge!

|| Tava suprabhatam aravindalocane! Bhavatu prasannamukha-candramandale! Vidhisankarendra-vanitabhir arcite! vrsasailanatha-dayite!dayanidhe ||

May it be an auspicious dawn to Thee, O Lakshmi (i.e. the beloved of the Lord of Vrsacala) of the eyes like the lotus (petals), (Lakshmi) of a bright face like (the orbit of) the Moon, (Lakshmi) worshipped by the wives of Brahma, Sankara and Indra (i.e., Vani, Girija and Pulomaja) and (Lakshmi who is ) a treasure of compassion.

|| Atryadi-saptarsayas samupasya sandhyam aksasindhu-kamalani manoharani, adaya padayugam arcayitum prapannah sesadri-sekhara-vibho! tava suprabhatam ||

Having worshipped the morning twilight (i.e., having said the morning prayer, namely, the sandhyavandana) the seven sages like Atri, bringing the beautiful lotuses from the Divine Ganges, have arrived to worship Thy feet. Lord of Seshachala! May it be an auspicious dawn to Thee.

|| Pancananabjabhava sanmukha vasavadyah traivikramadi caritam vibudhah stuvanti, bhasapatith pathati vasarasuddhim arat sesadri-sekhara-vibho! tava suprabhatam ||

The Gods Isvara (the five faced), Brahma (the lotus born) Subrahmanya (the six faced), Indra and others are praising stories (deeds) of your incarnations as the Trivikramavatara. Nearby is Brhaspati reading out the planetary position (i.e. Pancangam) of the day. Lord of Seshachala! May it be an auspicious dawn to Thee.

|| Isatpraphulla-sarasiruha-narikela- pugadrumadi-sumanohara-palikanam avati mandam anilah saha divyagandhaih sesadri-sekhara-vibho! tava suprabhatam ||

The breeze, carrying the wonderful fragrance of the partly opened lotuses and the beautiful ears of the trees like the Areca and Coconut, is gently blowing. Lord of Seshachala! May it be an auspicious dawn to Thee.

|| Unmilya netrayugam uttama-panjarastah patravasista-kadaliphalapayasani, bhuktva salilam atha kelisukhah pathanti sesadri-sekara-vibho! tava suprabhatam ||

The parrots, kept for pleasure in the foremost cages, opening their eyes, are graciously singing, after eating the remains of the plantain fruits and the payasam in the vessels. Lord Seshachala! May it be an auspicious dawn to Thee.

|| Tantriprakarsa-madhurasvanaya vipancya gayaty anantacaritam tava narado’pi bhasasamagram asakrt-karacararamyam sesadri-sekhara-vibho! tava suprabhatam ||

(The sage) Narada, with (his) vina of sweet music produced by the tight grip of the strings, is singing in praise of thy endless deeds ( or singing O Endless! Thy deeds), expressed in fine language, by beautifully waving the hand often. Lord of Seshachala! May it be an auspicious dawn to Thee.

|| Bhrngavali ca makaranda-rasanuviddha- jhankaragita-ninadaih saha sevanaya, niryaty upanta-sarasi-kamalodarebhyah sesadri-sekhara-vibho! tava suprabhatam ||

The swarm of bees, making humming sounds, while sucking honey, is emerging from the interiors of the lotuses of the adjoining pools in order to serve Thee. Lord of Seshachala! May it be an auspicious dawn to Thee.

|| Yosa-ganena vara-dadhni vimathyamane ghosalayesu dadhimanthana-tivraghosah, rosat kalim vidadhate kakubhas ca kumbhah sesadri-sekhara-vibho! tava suprabhatam ||

While the womenfolk in the hamlet of Cowherds churn the fine curds, the high sounds emanating from the pots and their echoes, make the appearance as if the pots and the (eight) directions are engaged in quarrels. Lord of Seshachala! May it be an auspicious dawn to Thee.

|| Padmesa-mitra-satapatra-gatalivargah hartum sriyam kuvalayasya nijanga-laksmya, bherininadam iva bibhrati tivra-nadam sesadri-sekhara-vibho! tava suprabhatam ||

The swarms of bees in the lotuses which are the friends of the sun, are making violent sounds as if producing the kettle –drum sound with a view to robbing (surpassing) the splendour of the blue lotuses with their (bodily) lustre. Lord of Seshachala! May it be an auspicious dawn to Thee.

|| Srimann abhista-varadakhila-lokabandho! srisrinivasa!jagadeka-dayaikasindho! sridevata-grha-bhujantara-divyamurte! sri-venkatacalapate! tava suprabhatam ||

One with Lakshmi! Giver of the desired objects (boon) ! Relative (friend) of all the worlds! Abode of Sri (Lakshmi)! The matchless ocean of compassion! || Srisvami-puskarinika-plava-nirmalangah sreyorthino hara-virinci-sanandanadyah, dvare vasanti varavetra- hatottamangah sri-venkatacalapate! tava suprabhatam ||

Lord of Venkatachala! Thy abode is always called by several names, as Sri Sesasaila, Garudachala, Venkatadri, Narayanadri, Vrsabhadri, Vrsadri. May it be an auspicious dawn to Thee.

|| Sevaparah siva-suresa-krsanu-dharma- raksombunatha-pavamana-dhanadhinathah, baddhanjali-pravilasan nijasirsa-desah sri-venkatacalapate! tava suprabhatam ||

Siva, Indra, Agni, Yama,Nairuti, Varuna, Vayu and Kubera, with folded hands on their heads, are desirous of offering service to thee. Lord of Venkatachala! May it be an auspicious dawn to Thee.

|| Dhatisu te vihagaraja-mrgadhiraja- nagadhiraja-gajaraja-hayadhirajah, svasvadhikara-mahimadikam arthayante sri-venkatacalapate! tava suprabhatam ||

Thy conveyances – the Lord of Birds (i.e. Garuda), Lord of Animals (i.e Lion), Lord of Serpents (i.e. Adi Sesa) Lord of Elephants (Airavata) and Lord of Horses (i.e.Uccaissravas)—are begging (Thee to grant them) their respective authority power, etc. (to server Thee better) in your amusement strolls. || Suryendu-bhauma-budha-vakpati-kavya-sauri svarbhanu-kettu-divisat parisat pradhanah, tvaddasa-dasa-caramavadhi-dasadasah sri-venkatacalapate! tava suprabhatam ||

The main (dieties) of the Assembly of Gods – the nine planets(Sun, Moon, Mars (Angaraka), Mercury (Budha), Jupiter (Brhaspati), Venus (Sukra), Saturn (Sani), Rahu and Ketu) remain happy to be the servants of the last grade servants of the servants of Thy servants (ie. They remain most obedient to Thee) Lord of Venkatachala! May it be an auspicious dawn to Thee.

|| Tvat-padadhuli-bharita-sphuritottamangah svargapavarga-nirapeksa-nijanarangah, kalpagamakalanayakulatam labhante sri-venkatacalapate! tava suprabhatam ||

Lord of Venkatachala!(Thy servants or devotees), with their heads rendered lustrous (i.e., sanctified) by the dust of Thy feet, do not desire, (being in Thy presence, even) the Heaven or Liberation and are worried that another Kalpa will start, when there will be no such glory to Venkatachala! May it be an auspicious dawn to Thee.

|| Tvad-gopuragra-sikharani niriksamanah svargapavarga-padavim paramamsrayantah, martya manusya-bhuvane matim-asrayante sri-venkatacalapate! tava suprabhatam ||

Seeing the crests of Thy temple tower, the mortals, while attaining the exalted paths of Heaven and Liberation, like to live on in the mortal world (as it gives them the opportunity of worhsipping Thee). Lord of Venkatachala! May it be an auspicious dawn to Thee.

|| Sri-bhumi-nayaka! dayadi-gunamrtabdhe! devadhideva!jagadeka-saranyamurte, srimann-ananta-garudadibhir arcitanghre! sri-venkatacalapate! tava suprabhatam ||

Lord of Sridevi and Bhudevi! The ocean of nectar of compassion and other virtues! The chief of Gods! The sole refuge of the Universe! The possessor of Sri (i.e., wealth)! One Whose feet are worshipped by Ananta and Garuda! Lord of Venkatachala! May it be an auspicious dawn to Thee.

|| Sripadmanabha! purusottama! vasudeva! vaikuntha! madhava! janardana! cakrapane! srivasta-cihna! sarangata-parijata! sri-venkatacalapate! tava suprabhatam ||

Padmanabha! Purushottama! Vasudeva! Vaikunta! Madhava! Janardana! Chakrapani! Bearer of the mole Srivatsa! Celestial tree (parijata) to those seek refuge! Lord of Venkatachala! May it be an auspicious dawn to Thee

|| Kandarpa-darpa-hara-sundara-divyamurte! kanta-kucamburuha-kutmala-loladrste! kalyana-nirmala-gunakara! divyakirte! sri-venkatacalapate! tava suprabhatam ||

Bearer of the charming and the divine form surpassing the pride of the Cupid (Manmatha)! One whose sight is fondly centred on the lotus bud like breasts of His beloved! The abode of auspicious and pure virtues! The possessor of Divine fame! Lord of Venkatachala! May it be an auspicious dawn to Thee.

|| Minakrte!kamatha!kola!nrsimha!varnin! svamin!parasvatha-tapodhana!ramacandra! sesamsarama! yadunandana! kalkirupa! sri-venkatacalapate! tava suprabhatam ||

Lord in (ten) incarnations of Matsya (Fish), Kamatha(Tortoise), Kola (Divine Boar), Narasimha (Man Lion) Trivikrama (Dwarf), Parasurama, Rama, Balarama, Krishna and Kalki! Lord of Venkatachala! May it be an auspicious dawn to Thee.

|| Ela-lavanga-ghanasara-sugandhi-tirtham divyam viyat-sariti hema-ghatesu purnam, dhrtvadya vaidika-sikhamanayah prahrstah tisthanti venkatapate tava suprabhatam ||

The Brahmins, well versed in the Vedas, are now joyfully waiting (for worshipping you), carrying the golden pots filled with the water of the Divine Ganges (Akasa Ganga) which (waters) are rendered fragrant by (mixing of) the cardamoms, cloves and camphor. || Bhasvan udeti vikacani saroruhani sampurayanti ninadaih kakubho vihangah, srivaisnavas satatam arthita-mangalas te dhamasrayanti tava venkata! suprabhatam ||

The Sun is rising; the lotuses have blossomed. The birds are filling the directions (diks) with their noises. The Sri Vaishnavas, always imploring auspiciousness, are waiting at Thy abode. Lord of Venkatachala! May it be an auspicious dawn to Thee.

|| Brahmadayas suravaras samaharsayas te santas sanadana-mukhastv atha yogivaryah, dhamantike tava hi mangala-vastu-hastah sri-venkatacalapate! tava suprabhatam ||

The Chief of Gods like Brahma,the great sages and the good Yogins as Sanandana are (waiting ) at Thy abode, holding auspicious things in their hands. Lord of Venkatachala! May it be an auspicious dawn to Thee.

|| Laksminivasa! niravadya-gunaika-sindho! samsara-sagara-samuttaranaika-seto! vedantu-vedya-nijavaibhava!bhaktabhogya! sri-venkatacalapate! tava suprabhatam ||

Abode of Lakshmi! Ocean of faultless(and auspicious) virtues! Bridge to cross the ocean of transmigration (samsara)! One whose glory is known through the Upanishads! One enjoyed by the devotees! Lord of Venkatachala! May it be an auspicious dawn to Thee.
